Ribbon Twist Stemmed Glass 26.5 cm Tall 190 g Multi Colour Thread Bowl is a stemmed glass built around a tulip bowl with coloured threads spiralling through the lower two thirds, on a slim stem in clear ground with blue, orange, yellow and lavender threads, with glass threads wound into the body during forming. It is produced in our glass workshop for buyers who need a repeatable decorative programme rather than a one off sample, and the piece shown here carries the coloured glass threads wound into a tulip bowl, fading to clear at the rim.
Thread decorated glass is usually approved on a sample because the density of the wind is what buyers react to, not the colour itself. Every unit is annealed in a controlled lehr so that wall stress stays within our breakage specification, and dimensions are checked against the measurement sheet printed on the photography. The result is a glass that looks individual on the shelf but behaves predictably in a container load.
Key Features- Glass Threads: The colour is a thread of glass wound into the body, not a print, so it cannot peel.
- Tulip Bowl: A tulip profile concentrates aroma while still giving the threads room to show.
- Fade To Clear: Threads sit low in the bowl, so the rim stays clear and the wine line reads normally.
- 26.5 cm Height: A tall glass aimed at sparkling and premium by the glass service.
- 190 g Weight: Light for its height, which is achievable because the threads add structure rather than mass.
- No Two Alike: Thread work is done at the bench, so the spacing differs piece to piece.

This stemmed glass is aimed at cocktail and sparkling service, design led venues and gift retail. Buyers typically place it in a range that needs one recognisable decorative accent without moving to a full bespoke mould, and because the body is a standard production shape the tooling cost is already absorbed into the piece price.
In service the glass is expected to move between back of house washing and front of house display several times a day. The surface withstands standard commercial detergents, and the rim geometry has been kept simple so that stacking and racking do not put point loads on the lip. For retail programmes the same item can be boxed as a single unit or combined with the matching pieces in our range to build a story around colour and pattern.
Sampling buyers usually test three things: whether the decoration survives twenty dishwasher cycles, whether the base sits flat on a granite or marble surface, and whether case pack dimensions match their pallet plan. All three can be confirmed with a stock sample before any production deposit is placed.
Packaging and Quality AssuranceEach piece is packed in a moulded pulp or corrugated divider inside a five layer export carton, with a printed sleeve available for retail programmes. Case pack quantities are set so that a full pallet loads without void fill, which keeps freight cost per unit down for mixed container orders.
Production is inspected at three points: incoming glass quality, decoration placement, and final packing. AQL inspection follows the usual 2.5 major and 4.0 minor plan unless a buyer specifies otherwise, and we keep a retained sample from each run so that repeat orders can be matched for colour and pattern density.
Care and Handling- Ribbon Thread Glass
- Multi Colour Twist
- Tulip Stemware
Hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended where a decorative surface is present, and dishwasher use is acceptable on a normal cycle at moderate temperature. Avoid sudden temperature change such as pouring boiling liquid into a chilled glass, since thermal shock remains the most common cause of breakage in any annealed glassware. Stored correctly, the piece is designed for years of daily use.
