Azure Rim Stemmed Glass 16 cm Tall 330 g Blue Band Clear Bowl is a stemmed glass built around a straight body with a slight waist on a short stem over a 7.5 cm foot in clear body with a deep blue rim band, with hand sprayed rim band with a soft edge. It is produced in our glass workshop for buyers who need a repeatable decorative programme rather than a one off sample, and the piece shown here carries the a deep blue band sprayed at the rim, leaving the rest of the bowl completely clear.
Rim bands are sprayed by hand, so the band edge varies slightly piece to piece; this is normal for the finish. Every unit is annealed in a controlled lehr so that wall stress stays within our breakage specification, and dimensions are checked against the measurement sheet printed on the photography. The result is a glass that looks individual on the shelf but behaves predictably in a container load.
Key Features- Rim Band Only: Colour at the rim keeps the body clear, so the drink is visible throughout service.
- Hand Sprayed Edge: A soft sprayed edge reads as a deliberate finish rather than a printed line.
- 330 g Weight: Heavy for a 16 cm glass, aimed at hotel and banquet service.
- Short Stem: A compact stem keeps the centre of gravity low on a crowded table.
- Colour Coding: Rim colour is the cheapest way for a venue to separate water from wine service.
- Straight Body: A straight wall stacks and racks predictably in volume operations.

This stemmed glass is aimed at water and wine service in hotels, colour coded table settings and gift retail. Buyers typically place it in a range that needs one recognisable decorative accent without moving to a full bespoke mould, and because the body is a standard production shape the tooling cost is already absorbed into the piece price.
In service the glass is expected to move between back of house washing and front of house display several times a day. The surface withstands standard commercial detergents, and the rim geometry has been kept simple so that stacking and racking do not put point loads on the lip. For retail programmes the same item can be boxed as a single unit or combined with the matching pieces in our range to build a story around colour and pattern.
Sampling buyers usually test three things: whether the decoration survives twenty dishwasher cycles, whether the base sits flat on a granite or marble surface, and whether case pack dimensions match their pallet plan. All three can be confirmed with a stock sample before any production deposit is placed.
Packaging and Quality AssuranceEach piece is packed in a moulded pulp or corrugated divider inside a five layer export carton, with a printed sleeve available for retail programmes. Case pack quantities are set so that a full pallet loads without void fill, which keeps freight cost per unit down for mixed container orders.
Production is inspected at three points: incoming glass quality, decoration placement, and final packing. AQL inspection follows the usual 2.5 major and 4.0 minor plan unless a buyer specifies otherwise, and we keep a retained sample from each run so that repeat orders can be matched for colour and pattern density.
Care and Handling- Azure Rim Stemware
- Blue Band Glass
- Coloured Rim Wine Glass
Hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended where a decorative surface is present, and dishwasher use is acceptable on a normal cycle at moderate temperature. Avoid sudden temperature change such as pouring boiling liquid into a chilled glass, since thermal shock remains the most common cause of breakage in any annealed glassware. Stored correctly, the piece is designed for years of daily use.
